Dang it!!! Atco was supposed to open today, and I was all psyched for it. But nooooo, I get there at about 10:30, and they're closed. Call up the hotline, and they cancelled today due to WHAT?!?! Predicted cold weather. Huh, I thought cold weather was good to race in, and the weather is actually perfect outside. Bastages. I'm leaving for the middle east on Friday now, and won't be back until at least mid February. I need a track fix! So, did anyone else show up to get disappointed?

 

i read on another board that atco was closed today. sucks that you drove all the way there to find that out. dem bastages!!

How have you been? Did you do any "massaging" to your car since last summer?

I was able to add some TLC to my Chevelle.
I blew a headgasket and during the tear down, we noticed the compression might be a pinch too high. So I swapped out the Pro1s for another set of Pro1's with larger comb. chambers. (It's now 10.2 to 1. Yanked out the old crappy open 10 bolt axle and installed a nice 12 bolt posi w/ 3.73's.
Also, I will have a set of draglites and slicks on the car w/ drag shocks all around!
I ran 13.5 @ 105 before all this. And this spring, I am shooting for low 12's without spraying!

The only tweaks I've done to it is the "Fernco" intake mod, and threw in a Holley Airfoil for kicks. Haven't bested my 13.19 yet, but the trap last time was 105 and some change. I'm shipping out on Friday for *cough* a month *cough* ........see you in a lot longer probably. Actually, I better be back by the end of Feb because I'm closing on a house. There's my excuse for no head/cam in the car yet...but could be worse. Good luck finding those 12's, I'll shoot you an email when I get back!!!
