F/S: ported LT1 heads and intake

Ok, I just got back from my machine shop. The heads will be ready by Wed next week so I figure I would try to get a jump on selling them.

I bought these heads from a well known board member who ports heads on the side. Details can be given to the buyer.

561 casting heads flowed just over 260cfm with GREAT low and mid lift numbers. They are currently at the machine shop being put back together. Chambers measured out to 54cc. Really nice port work and not just a hogged out set of heads. Alot of work done to the runner celings and around the guides. Also a nice short side. Bowls have been cleaned up and valves unshrouded. Stock valves with Comp 977 spring. Comp Ti +.050 retainers and seats and locks. ARP 7/16 studs and Comp guideplates.

I bought these heads with the intentions of building a 355 with a hydraulic roller cam. (Ron now has my old cam in the 97TA) I since changed my mind and I am now going with a nasty 355 solid roller nitrous motor. The heads just dont flow enough for a max effort race engine. I also have already based the new motor on a 64cc head. But they would be awsome on a 355-383 street motor. The last engine they were on was a 383 and made 420 RWHP so they have plenty of potential.

My machine shop tore them down, flowed them and cleaned them up. Since we cant use them I am having them prepped for you to buy and bolt them on. Pressure checked, valves lapped, and new seals installed. I will have pics next week. Anyone is open to come by and check them out in person.

The intake has also been ported to match the heads. TB opened up for a 58mm. This too is fresh out of the blasting cabnite and ready for instalation. Now down to buisness

I paid $1300 for these heads and intake. They were fresh off of a 420 RWHP 383. I now have over $400 in top of the line valve train in them and another $200 in machine shop work. They are worth alot more than I am asking

Price for a local sale is $1100. I am letting them go for cheap as I need the money for the new motor. Bills for that thing are piling up fast especially after deciding to buy a set of AFR's for it

If anyone is intrested please PM me and we can work on a deal. I am not intrested in shipping these heads at this point. If I cant selll them locally I will put them up in the F/S section for much more money. I am willing to meet half way for a serious buyer or you can come to my house and I will pump you full of beer and try to get more money out of you

On a 355 or 383 with a nice cam you should put down 400 with these heads easy.

Nothing but 2 tire kickers. I'll give it 1 week and if I dont get any takers I will put them in the F/S section... I'm open to reasonable offers but please dont insult me...

I am also open to trades if you have anything I might need.

How about 4 dogs, 2 kids, and 1/2 case of Molson? Woops, just finished off the Molson.

at this point the dogs could probably pull my car down the track faster than it could by itself... I might go for that.

I've run into an issue with the heads and I am not happy at the moment. AFR said 10 weeks for a set of 210's. I am not waiting 10 weeks cause you know their 10 weeks is 6 months in reality.

I already have the bottom eng going together and a domed piston set up for a 64cc chamber. I am thinking I might have to go with TFS heads with a 62cc chamber.

I said I would trade for "go fast" stuff. All you offered is go slow stuff with 3 weeks of sore fingers.

Thanks for getting the word out about the heads. I really want to sell them so I can move on with my project. I might go with a set of Trick Flows as they are almost as good from what I am reading on the board.
