Harold i am going to try the LT1 next. I changed my mind and decided to do all my "testing" on my LT4.

I'll shoot you some pics when I finish the LT1. Probably not for a few weeks though. This crap take some serious man hours. I have just over 4 hrs in those and that is only 4 ports... only 4 more to go

Man the DUPE factor is going to be crazy on you

Nice job. Few thoughts.

1) Don't forget to open the from up for a 58MM or monoblade.

2) For a dry intake you want to polish it all out so it's nice a smooth. My insodes look like my outside, I finished it at 1,200 Grit. If your going to spray and not use a fogger type set up you want it a bit ruff so you get the air to tumble to help mix the airfuel and also prevent puddling.

3) When I showed my intake to my friend that builds motor he suggestest adding a bevel to 1+2 runners to aid the front cylinders from going lean as the air has to make a tight turn after the throttle blades. Now I have no proof if this is needed or actually helps. But if he knows enought to build 500CI prostock motors I listened.

I plan to open up the front for a 58... that i just dont own yet. I need a good template first or some way of marking the correct opening to make.

I never heard of polishing the intake ports. I alwas thought you were supposed to leave them with the rougth finish. When I do put the squeeze on it I will run a max of 200 wet probably thru a set of nozzles up in the elbow. Havent decided for sure though. I still need to work on the finish here. They are only finished with 80grit right now. I will finish them off with a 120 flapper wheel and see how that finish looks. I can always polish them to a mirror finish with the cross buffs if needed.

oh, and I didnt look at the LT1 but the LT4 already has a bit of a bevel in it. The walls are actually picthed toward the intake opening up front. If you werent looking for it you would never notice it, but its there.
