So you did hit 10s motor. I didnt think you did. Damn you man, Im never gonna catch you. Please God make a 9" fall from the sky with 15" slicks/rims bolted to it
Oh well, someday Ill be able to hook safely.
Why werent you happy with friday night, Paul told me the fastest he saw you run was 11.90 or something like that, did you run that 10.91 friday, or earlier? How much better does the car feel than last year?
Oh BTW, where is Harshaw located? Were you happy with them? What all did you have done and how much did they charge you. Im about to take my block in this week for the $1000 worth of machining that needs done to it, and would love to save some $ and go to a shop with a reputation as well. The guy around here is GOOD, but I mean theres only like two places so I dont know if Im getting raped on prices or not.

first run at Norwalk, i bogged hard, ran an 11.2 @ 124.00
second run, their timer f'ed up
my best run, launched at 6000rpm, and wheel hopped, err umm nof'ing time on the board!!!!
third run, great launch, again wheel hopped ( i solved that problem today
) i hit the 3/5 gate, put it in 5th, pulled it out, back to 3rd then 4th and a measly 11.91 2 116 mph
still it rocked!!!!! stuff i posted was from this afternoon at TMP in Cayuga Ont.
Brian is just outside of windsor. call him if you would like to? who is assembling your motor? pm me and i can give you more info rather than here. VERY Happy with him!! car made almost 40rwhp/40ft.lbs through the exhaust! sweet! he is so **** i loved it, it is one time when you want someone to be as meticulous as he was! i think anyone would agree with that!

Haha, thats awesome for only 3 more cubes and DFI. Im guessing a lot of it came from the intake though, you agree?
Wonder if the DFI was good for any power?
So that puts you at what NA rwhp? 460ish?

sorry 40/40 MORE than last year, it made 473rwhp/446tq. through exhaust
yeah the intake helped! as well as port matching the heads, and a few tricks my builder did to make everything work better
DFI had to be worth a good 18 rwhp! wow! tuning really does the job!

Just curious the lower torque values. Are you making peak power at high RPMs? I wont ask for cam specs but id assume its pretty big on duration, 260s intake almost? Are you still spinning sub 7000, or does the DFI allow you to go over 7? Got a dyno graph on the computer?
Its a case like this that I wonder which works better. The cam designed for my stroker seems kind of small on duration, but Im sure it will be a torque MONSTER, probly close to 500rwtq, but the hp wont be up there, and that is mainly because I wont spin much past 6500 if even that far.
I hear that it is better to make torque at higher rpms because that increases the HP obvioulsy and you can take advantage of gearing. But on the other hand I would think with pigs like our 4th gens, you might want buttloads of torque down low to get the car moving easier.
It would be nice to take the same exact car/engine and everything and swap out cams on it...one made for peak hp, one made for peak tq, but they i guess youd want to change out the rear gear as well to go along with the cam. I was told by Joe that I would most likely run my best times with the stock 3.42s, or maybe 3.70s, but no higher most likely just because its a torque cam.

That sucks what happened. Troopers can be **** sometimes. 72 in a 65??? I normally do 75 most of the time heading out that way. I had better watch out from now on I guess. Looking forward to heading back out to the track! I cannot wait to get my time down!

in the upper rpm band, but keep in mind i used to shift at 64oo on motor and 6300 on spray, add a good few hundred to that for this year
it is give and take, I would trust what Joe says! he knows his stuff but good!
