i'm still looking but i don't even have the money right now as i just bought a beater truck to drive for the winter, it all depends on how fast i can sell my 355 short block

Hey guys! I read the boards all the time but dont post too much, I am going to start trying to! I am still deployed overseas and will be back in a month and I live right in the akron canton area. I just bought a new 97Z28 and the new head and cam package should be waiting for me when i get back I will definately be hitting up dragway 42 so hope to see a ton of camaro's there. When is the last days they are open?? I wont be back till decemer sometime so i bet I will be waiting till next spring, unless they let tires with snow chains run down the track But I hope to get a huge f-body train going in the spring around the area! There is 3 of us so far. How well did you run on the 22nd and how many Z's were there??

 

The tracks are pretty much closed for the rest of the year. I got my car down to 12.004 shifting into overdrive before the 1000" mark then bought a set of taller slicks to get me into the 11s but instead they slowed me down to 12.1x, go figure

Theres a good number of f-body guys in NE Ohio. I'm sure well run into each other at the track next year

 

Hey again! 12.004 is just flirting with 11's!! That just means you will get it in spring! and I will be there too so I can see it, hehe. that .004 is nothing! That could be just a couple degrees cooler outside, a .01 second faster 60ft, anything. You will see 11's no problem! I just got my LT's in, my head and cam package is goin in the mail on monday, lifters just came in, so over the winter I want to put together a high 11 second street car on street tires, is that possible? hehe. I got the LE2 package and I am getting everything I can possibly think of to go with it and keep it all NA. I think I seen someone running 11.5's with the LE2 package on street tires but he had some good 60ft times, a good stall and shift kit. Congratz on your 12.004!! Thats awesome! Just think of that 12 second run when you pull up next to a viper in your daily driver and smoke him!
