Camaro vs. Mustang meet in NJ for CHEAP!

Ok, there's not really much to say about this, the site explains it all: http://www.islanddragway.com/Camaro%20vs.%20Mustang.htm

It's strictly Camaro vs. Mustang, Firebirds aren't going to be allowed in the tournament but you can watch and the test and tune is open for everyone afterwards.

If you have any questions about the race or anything, email the track: ID1320@nac.net

Let me know if you're interested and I'll keep the people at the track posted. I hope you guys can make it! See you there.

It has just come to my attention that there's another thread about this already but at any rate, I didn't mention that it is $10 to race or watch.

Reminder: Let your Mustang buddies know about it too if they don't already.

No Firebirds allowed? That's discrimination!

I know I know, I tried to fight for all F-bodies but in the end it couldn't happen. The same thing is going on in this thread at LS1.com, all the 'birds are boycotting lol. You guys should come anyway to watch and there's a test and tune opened to everyone as I mentioned before.

I'm planning to go to this as long as I'm not too worn out from Etown's Camaro/Firebird event the day before.

Post THIS JUST IN!

It has been changed to ALL F-BODIES! It's still $10 for everyone, race or watch, and now the Firebirds are allowed to race. I'm going to copy and paste The thread from LS1.com for you guys here:

After some (not so) serious thinking, we've decided that theres enough interest to make a little change and allow Firebirds in the Camaro class on the Camaro/Mustang day. Hopefully this will make many of you happy and you will come out. Remember, entry is only $10 race or watch, and theres a 3 ft. trophy to the winner, 1st round winner trophys to ALL first round winners. Its this Sunday, Marrch 23. Gates open at 830 am, open time trials from 10-1, and eliminations will start around 1pm. Afterwards there is an open test and tune for $25. Contact the track at ID1320@nac.net or 908 637 6060.

Hope more of you can come.

Dang, I love going against those stangs. Too much for the weekend. Saturday I'll be running at E-Town all day. Camaro\Firebird event in the morning then stay for the real street brackets that night. Makes for one long day. Sunday plans are for the flee market at Maple Grove. Maybe next time.
