I still drive my car to and from the track. I believe that is the essence of Street ET. If you tow it, move up. However, the other guys in the top ten at NED in Street all tow their vehicles. I even drove mine to the bracket finals and back (Maine-Ohio).

I am planning on running Top this year as well (electronics). The top ten and then some in Street at NED are all good enough to win in any eliminator on any given day.

Modified (heavy) has about 130 points vehicles. I finished about 35th... And we one guy who really stands out, covered the field by almost 20 rounds last season. I lost twice to him this last season by about .03 on the two races combined. If I can work up the money for a truck and trailor I plan on running modified and top in the Camaro and Street in the pickup.
I know what ya mean Ted and I didn't mean to sound like that was directed at you. There are a bunch of guys in street at Atco that kick butt all year long and they keep coming back to street because they know they can win. The problem for them is that they're not getting any better racing guys that aren't as good as them... know what I mean?

Thats ok. I just think Street should be a "drive and drag" type of class. I'm not a believer in ET cutoffs, but I do think a car should pass a basic inspection, and be registered and insured in whatever state it is from. To me, driving to the track, changing tires, and racing is what the sport is all about at a grassroots level. Its tough to put 20,000-30,000 miles a year on a car, race it weekly, and keep it consistent.
