Ive heard good things about JD's? Are they a good shop. I know someone that got a supercharger installed there, plus plugs and tunning and I forget the other stuff. They also told him to always come to them for emissions. They pushed 550rwhp out of his cobra...

Hey man thanks for the offer, my only concern is passing emissions because I was told JD's would keep passing me on emissions if I got stuff installed there. Im kinda in a cross road because i dont want to pay a lot for an install, but I also of course have emissions to deal with. So I dunno if you can do emissions for me or what, didnt you say youd help install them for free to?? Id be happy to pay you something for your trouble, youd be saving me a lot of effort.

I when I mean help with install, I mean lots of help because Im only 17 and have had no one to teach me anything because my dad isnt exactly a handy man, I figure most stuff out by myself, or it just stays that way unless I dont. Ive done small stuff, but nothing big. I worked in a bike shop for a while and then cars became my new hobby so Ive been looking for somewhat of a teacher. Ha sorry for stealing this thread.

JD's IS GREAT
They do a-lot of f-body work. there was 3 or 4 there besides mine when i went there. With everything from blowers to cams and a 427 z06. The owner is cool, prices fair and the tech are real nice too. I am planning on having them do my cam/headers this summer. The also have a nice dynojet and ls1 edit too.
