i was wondering if anyone on here can rebuild t56 trannys? my reverse is making a bad noise. if i put it in gear it will not move. 1-6 work fine but R doesn't work anymore. can anyone give me a hand here? or know where i can get it done at.

You didn't stop at, Rainbow Mountain, did you?? The one parking lot spot is like, a 30* angle down.

And I only know about the place because people I know do. Don't get that idea. lol.

Good luck with your rear gear.

I never got to go to that flea market sadly. Kind of ended working in the summer of that area last year.

If I knew how to fix a T56, I would. In fact, I would probably make some nice money doing it, seems as how you guys keep asking for help with them!! Give me like, 4 months and enough reading material and I'd be set.

I can offer two suggestions for you. One is Performabuilt and they are located in Hazleton. They specialize in automatics, but they told me that they do T56 rebuilds in house. http://www.performabuilt.com/

The other option is the guy that I had rebuild my T56. His name is Jim Stugart and he's located in Williamsport. He used to build trannys for Hendrick's Motorsports. He did a real good job and was extremely quick.
His number is: 570-772-6474. Email: StugRCR@aol.
