I have the driveshaft out of my 99 SS. I pulled it out and replaced it with a new unit from Dennys. The stock GM driveshaft was making noise when you put it into gear. Kind of a clinking noise. I'll sell it to ya if you want it but the noise drove me nuts. I guess its pretty common and doesn't affect performance. I'm in western NY near the PA line.

just keep an eye out over on thirdgen.org classifieds, ebay, i see them all the time for sale. most usually cost around 150 bucks. I'll be looking to buy one this summer also.
