Altinator Relocation
I hear ya crack head
its not listed on their site. Hence the "I heard they stopped making it" part dumb dumb... lol There is their contact info so pick up a phone and call em
Lets do it! BTW, I alreay know of a place that makes a bracket to mount the ALTERNATOR on the other side down low. I'll look for the link when I get home.

How about this, we moch up the following:
Delete A/C and move the PSP down to where the A/C was, We can probably cut up the stock unit, and make it fit and clean up the top of the engine. Then relocate the alt to the other side ALA a supercharger type mount.
Make the pump and ALTERNATOR <- DAMN KIDS
mount high enough to clear the top of the crank pulley so the belt will wrap around all the pulleys enough to not slip and a SC type tensioner pressing downward on the belt.
We should be able to mock up a mounting plate and have Antz cut one out with his CNC machine!
Option 2: relocate the Alt and rig up an electric PSP pump from an old Feiro??

Think he wants $400 for it?
And I don't really feel that $400 mount cleans up the engine bay. Well, at least not to my liking.
Been doing a little research. LT1 PSP spins counter clockwise and is not a grooved+lipped pulley, could be an issue since relocating it so where the AC is means it would be spinning backwards. Might be better off just swapping to LSx or simular pump that spins clockwise.
Although a tensioner is nice, it would probably be easier to just go old~school and build a mount so that the Alt. has a pivot to set the belt tension? Or somehow spring load the alternator?
I still think would be a cooler way to go!

Above unit isn't cheap, I just found that one as an example. I know there was 1-2 companies at SEMA a few years back selling Elec pumps for street rods. There are probably allot of others as well that can be adapted. The power steering pump said to consume 3% of a small engines power. The guys playing with fuel economy are reporting at a steady speed a 1.8 liter engine will gain 3 MPG with the PS belt removed.

roflmao...
uh, yeah.
Even my ULTRA-NATOR is powdered coated black.
Now Projectz28, he's red on a red car.
It's important to stick to this scheme so when we have one of those "swap meets', we all know what part will work on what car more easy.

The bottom line is that black cars are just badass.
Every other car sees them coming and cries like a little bitch
because they're intimidated by the shear aura of evil a black car presents. That's why their owners have to mod them. They have to create bite just to keep up w/ a black car's bark.
