well forget about traction ...this thing is acting just like a roots blower...im seeing full boost (only 4.5psi) straight off idle. best 60' i could muster was a 1.94 on the nitto's and best et was a 12.32 @ 116.30. i got to make 5 passes...the car got better with every single pass...even as my 60' went up to a 2.17 on 3 different runs. to say the least i need some slicks, but right now thats a no-no with the stock rear. before i hit the track again im going to open this front end up and get all of this styrofoam type stuff out of behind the grille that way i can get lots of air straight into the intercooler. with some nice cool air, i think i can flirt heavily with 11's. we shall see. overall, im very pleased with where its at right now...the car had a really strong pull once i got traction.

Well, I have only heard of one guy cutting good 60's with Nitto's and that was in a Mustang.

As much as people don't like BFG DR's, I am looking to cut 1.5's 60's this year still running a stock 10 bolt with them.

You should try them some time, but normally when people do get good tires, they find out they have wheel hop, pull one direction to much, etc...

Side note...I got my BMR k-member in today and my motor in today. Car should be running by Saturday noonish.

i know the bfg's will have better hook at the track...but i dont have the money to drop -- on anything, lol. thats damn impressive the 60' you cut on those AND on the stock 10-bolt . whats your new setup?

Steve...i doubt i will be able to do that. a few friends already have plans to go see bad boys 2.

COo man..

DUDE THE MUSTANG IS FINISHED!! and holy **** i cannto wait to do heads and cam... in my LS1

....

EASY mid to low 12's on all motor with this 5.0... holy **** its amazing... best part is... I DID IT !!! NEver having been inside a motor before my firend and I tackled it... i did most of the work because i was like "Hell, Im learning on it for free, and its mind over matter... Aint mine, dont matter" SO i was thrashin the damn thing lol... we got it on the road tonite... oooooo wow... TONS of power... more than my SS, tahts for sure... took it about 1/8 of a mile... then the kid decided to WHOMP on it... yah, blew one of the oil pan gaskets (2 piece, in front by timing cover) right out of the vheilce... LOL

So, tomorrow its new oil pan, new gaskets, and bolts then finish tuning it and head to the dyno.

More compression, more aggressive cam with components to match, considerably better heads, ported intake, est 70 lbs less, a real exhaust setup, correct ring gap and looking at getting Weld Pro Stars XP's all around, and that will lose I guess another 40-50 lbs at least and the rotational mass being gone will help.

I also got my wet NOS kit installed and will be shooting 100 shot.

It should basically smoke my last setup.
