almost there....

Just thought some of you guys would be intrested to get an update.

I finally got the rear situation under control. Its in the car and I only had to fab up 2 custom mounts for the sway bar. I used 2 - 3" exhaust clamps and welded a piece of 3/4"x1/8" flat stock to it to mount the sway bar on. Worked out nicely. The brake lines required a couple holes to be drilled and tapped in the Moser brackets, brakes are on now.

Filled the rear yesterday with 3.5 qts of 85w140 HD oil.

Driveshaft to loop issue doesn't look to be like an issue any more. Looks like there is clearance there now with the new Denny's NR shaft.

So, I have to bleed the brakes on Saturday and we are taking it to the dyno in 2 weeks. A friend of mine rented Atco on Nov 12th. I should have some solid dyno numbers shortly after next weekend and some shakedown runs at Atco on the 12th. wish me luck... I'll keep you guys posted.

Oh and I gotta change the oil out. Ditch the dino for some Lucas 10/30 synthetic racing oil.... Gonna do that Saturday and maybe get a quick vid of the car in action out front of the house. If I manage to get some vid I'll post it for ya.

Yeah, I really hope everything holds together and you get the numbers that you are looking for. If it does work out well, maybe you could run TnT at Atco on Nov17th? I would come down for that. Nothing would be more fun than to be like twenty feet from the line and then look in the mirror to see your front end lift from the starting line and the ball of fury hurtle at me.... and beat me at the line.

How in the hell do you get time to work on your car w/ a new baby? My daughter is 18 months old and I've worked on my car exactly twice since she was born. Advice please???

Very simple my friend... find something your wife really, really, really wants... and tell her she can't have it till the car is done lol

seriously, its not easy. I have found myself running out to the garage on several occasions at night after Sam went to bed. I have actually taken Sam to grandmom's house for her to baby sit while I go home a work on my car. I just have to get creative to get anything done.

I told Liz that we were not moving till the car was done so she sometimes lets me venture out to the garage while she stays in with the boy.

Its definately not easy. I am seriously busy. Seems like I am always doing something. Got home from work last night at 8, eat some dinner, fed the baby and he went to sleep for the night and I went into the bathroom to clean the grout on the floor... I make a list of things i want to do and then write down an estimated amount of time it will take. When I have a spare moment I grab the list and pick something to do with the time I have left... pretty nuts but I know if i dont do it the car would never get done and the house would never be ready to sell.

I owe a lot to Liz for letting me escape and get crap done.

Thats good to hear..I definly wanna see this beast since im a bit biased towards Red LT1's

and by everything you post up, you sound like a good craftsman and im sure you have tons of neat & detailed componets to offset your car from the rest....

Best of luck, hopefully once u get everything dialed in, you can expect the #'s your looking for

PS...your wife's a keeper if she can put up with the car
