95 Z28 Question

I'm looking at purchasing a 95 Z28. It's in great condition inside and out, the only concern is the milage. It has 115K. It drives great and seems to shift fine (auto)...but still, the miles. I'm looking for a car that we can cruise long distance if necessary. Any comments or suggestions?

Thanks,

Re: 95 Z28 Question

My step-mom's 94 Z has about that number of miles on it. I haven't heard her or my dad complain about the car ever. My dad and boyfriend replaced the cap and rotor a while back, and they keep up with all maintenance and it's been great. It looks great too!

They're talking about selling it for something newer too. How soon are you looking to buy?

Re: 95 Z28 Question

I bought mine 2 years ago with 100k. I've put 50,000 on it since then. Replaced Opti, plugs, wires, alternator, battery, ignition switch, and coil. I attributed most of the problems with putting heavy mileage on an already high mileage car as well as numerous passes at the track, ragging on it with the 3.73's a little etc. I honestly wouldn't be scared about the mileage depending on the price because things will start to go, its only natural. I think these cars hold up very well, a lot more than they get credit for. Good luck no matter what you decide.

If your plannin on using it as a daily driver Id say that alot of miles, unless you have money for a rebuild...A well taken care of LT1 should run just fine w/ those miles but its alot none the less
