hey all, any now of a good place to diagnose and most likely rebuild a 4l60E trans in nyc or near it...having some 3-4 shift issues.

I had my previous 94 Z28 tranny rebuilt at Aamco transmission on Forest Ave. in Staten Island. The managers name is Mel. His performance rebuild guy does some awesome work (Hispanic guy). The phone number their is 718-442-6700.

would you happen to remember the guy's name? so I can ask for him specifically to rebuild my trans? also how did your trans perform after the rebuild? thank you

I can't quite remember the guys name that did the work, but he is the only guy there that Mel would let work on it. If you call them ask Mel if he remembers the guy who brought in the maroon-(Medium Patriot Red) Z28 that drag raced. My name is Fred Storen and I'm in his computer. He can tell you exactly what parts and all he used in my tranny. As far as how it worked or performed it allowed for the times in the sig. They also give a full 1 year warranty. I'm sure there are alot of other places around that also do quality work. I mentioned them because they used me right, Fred
