just curious what

Brand new custom y-pipe duals with Flowmaster mufflers and high flow catalytic converter, car is very quiet yet has a distinct noticable sound

is? how does one have duals with a custom y pipe?

Meaning, it's not true duals but duals off of a custom y-pipe from the cat.

Similar I guess to what a Monte Carlo SS had factory, if you can picture that exhaust setup.
