@#$%...I hate people!!

Woke up this morning and was getting dressed for work, when my dad came back into the house and said he had some bad news. Not sure where it happened, but apparently some jack&ss decided it would be cool to hit my car :schock:

I came home after work yesterday, and didnt notice anything since it was pretty late and dark outside. The dent is about 8" in length, and looks like someone had clipped the rear quarter panel when trying to pull into a parking space The worst part about it is that when I'm at work, I park in one of the furthest spots from the store so this sh*t wouldn't happen

Sorry, just trying to vent...

I had a similar thing happen to me in my college parking lot. Someone with a truck must have backed up into the spot in front of mine and went a little too far. i have scratch marks all the way up the front end almost onto the hood. i came out from my class and almost cried, it was only a month after i bought it.

same thing happened to me last spring at work. someone backed into my car right where the front bumper cover and left front fender come together. luckily i buffed it out for the most part. theres a little dent where it happened but its right between the fender and cover so you really can't even see it.

a$$holes

i had some jackass cut my off making a left as a was a right. we both pulled into my developement and exchanged words. after i challenged him out of the car he pulled off, for some dumb reason i took notice of his plate number. same night, my truck was vandalized. called cops and told the story but they said they wont do anything since i didnt see him do it. so i went out and put a cinder block thru his windshield on his ricer. aahhh! stress relief.

That sux Matt, I too know the pain. Liz works in the city and it seems like sh can only go 3 months without getting hit. Fortunatly she has always been hit by somone with ins. But on this last one she was at a clients house and when she came out the door and quarter panel were pushed in.... now shes got a $2k repair to make and it has to come out of her pocket.

I hate those bastards!

Dang Matt, that sucks. That sucks bad. I feel for ya. I'm always worrying about the Purple car when Katie takes it to work. My advice would be to park out in the parking row at the back of the lot that faces the street. Are you gonna get it fixed through your insurance or try to out of pocket it??

Thanks everyone for your replies.

As of now, I may just try to pop most of the dent out, buff out the scratches, and just let it be. I'm pretty sure the insurance deductible or any repair costs would be a bit too much for me to afford right now since i just started working again, so a temporary solution may be the best way to go.

Also, I haven't really washed my car in the past 2 months, so I'm not really worried about looks right now. Come spring time, I will definitely want to get it done and fixed right.

I work in a building that has over 500 parking spaces on 3 levels. You'd be surprised how many people do not know how to park their cars. A simple task of pulling into a space but being in a hurry or not paying attention, they sometimes crease the car next to them...and if no one is around, they pull out and find another spot. Unfortunately for them, we have cameras showing every angle of the levels and security usually hunts them down where they sit at their desk. The usual excuse is 'I didn't relaize I hit them.' It was just yesterday I found the site's director's Z3 with a dent in his side fender, most likely from someone else's ignorance as there's no way of doing that and not realzing what the metal scraping sound is.

Go ahead and vent and hope that what goes around comes around.

damn, that really is a harsh dent I just replied in the other thread, but I hope you can find out who was responsible.

Also, to make matters worse, I went out to get into my car after work tonight, just to find a shopping cart sitting next to my car. And yep, it made another mark I was parked in the last row, facing the street , no other cars around me, and the shopping cart just somehow, happened to find me

WHAT PISSES ME OFF EVEN MORE....

GUNG HO BASTARD COPS!!!

These young gun cops thinkin they badass becuase they have a badge and a gun... omfg... Wanna hear a bogus *** ticket story?

Well, in an un-named city, i was turning onto a road, both roads 25mph zones... 2nd gear at about 15 or so mph... turning, hit a patch of that slushy crap (have to drive her in winter ) and the car kicked slightly to the left... and a cop saw and said that I was driving in a reckless manner and squeeling my tires... soooo I get a ticket for "Squeeling Tires" and a side note (NOT a ticket) saying "Was driving in reckless manner"... SORRY ITS NOT MY FAULT I HAVE 411 RWHP (okay maybe it is ) AND HIT SOME F**KIN ICE AND KICKED IT A LIL SIDEWAYS!!! Its not as if I was drag racing a mustang in teh middle of frickin winter time down the street or something... jesus....

I hate cops.

Take it to court and fight it. If you keep your cool and calmly explain the situation you should be able to get out of it. Then appeal. Use the system.
