Long range weather forecast says it's going to be a high of 59 degrees, partly cloudy. Mostly sunny after 3 PM.

We all know that God parts the rain and snow each year for the M events.

So dont worry.

 

11 years running, haven't been rained (or snowed) out yet! Sometimes it looked like it was going to be bad, but wound up just fine.

 

I'm looking forward to the nice cool air!

Remember M5? It started to SNOW as we left the track. I got over sixteen runs that day... The fastest ones were back-to-back just as we were about to close the track. Thirty-five degrees makes for some FAST, DENSE air. There were LOTS of broken driveshafts, output shafts, and axles that year, IIRC.


Then at M8, we had to deal with 1/8 mile racing for the first half of the day due to mist on the top end of the track, but we finished the day with some quarter mile action.

I think that is it in terms of the bad weather for the ten consecutive M events.

 

Heh...yeah, there were a couple of close calls, but somehow we made it through every year.

Yeah, I remember it snowing at the end of M5 (or was it M4?). It started to fall JUST when the awards completed. That was quite an anomoly.

The sad part is, the weather LOOKS questionable almost every year, but ends up being near perfect for racing. I'll bet that keeps another 20 racers from attending.

 

M4 was hot... it was in the 70's I think.. or hotter.

 

Low 80s, that was the year it was on Labor say Saturday.
