I was just wondering if anybody has tried one of these from SLP. I think my differential is messed up on my car because when i turn from a stop and give it gas my car shakes really bad. It is only like $120 or so. I was thinking i could try this and put some 4.10's in there while i'm at it.

 

I have the tosen carrier with my 3.73's`and it works great. No posi fluid to add and no clutches. It uses roller gears that look like big needle bearings.No problems whatsoever.

 

I have one in my car. You'll have to replace the carrier bearings and inspect it carefully. SLP basically just throws these off the car. The bearings on mine weren't good (not a big deal) and I had to file down some spots on the flange that the ring gear bolts to. The carrier had been dropped on the floor by someone. Other than that it works great, especially for ~$100.

 

Mine lasted 8 months. Now I'm back to 1 wheel burnouts

 

I got a couple of years out of mine, a bunch of 1.6 60's..blah..blah...now I have a Eaton sitting waiting to be installed.

Save yourself some money in the long run and some time.

Get a good diff unit.
