Are you using Pacesetters LT Y-pipe??

I need to hear from people who are using the Pacesetter Y-pipe and no Cat. not the custom Y guys. I am concerned about the mating of the exhaust to the Y-pipe. Are the Y-pipes working with the exhausts out there and hooking right up? Or is there a add on peice that will be needed,or cut some off etc. etc. What had to be done?

This is on my 94 Z and I'm doing the complete exhaust.I want to put on Muffex 3.5" w/ flowmaster single out with the headers.

Because the Race Pacesetter headers work with 94-97 cars. Do I get the mufflex system for 94-95? Or do I get the 96-97 system? The retailers dont seem to be too sure not definite I need to hear from someone who has this and done it. I want to order now I need help.

Im using it. Its a fairly decent design I guess. You need to cut the catback pipe. It has a bend right before where it would bolt to the cat. The Y pipe connects to the straight part BEFORE the bend. So you need to cut it off with a Saws-All or whatever, and then sleave it. Have fun finding a 3 & 1/2 inch sleave lol. It took be a couple hours to find a 3 inch one for my Flowmaster catback.

BTW you wont be dissapointed with the sound

Re: Are you using Pacesetters LT Y-pipe??

Thanks for the info I assume you had 94-95 exhaust on befroe the header&Y install? Sounds easy enough I know where to get the reducer 3"x3.5".

I would like to hear from 96-97 owners on what they had to do to get it together also.

The 96-97 mufflex system is cheaper than the 94-95 mufflex system. It would be great if the 96-97 would be easier to get on. Or would just plain work in the same way as the 94-95 systems in regards to connection to the Pacesetter Y-pipe.
Car in question 94 Z28.

I had to get my catback cut and welded to y pipe.My y-pipe also leaked liked crazy at the first joint on the passenger side. That joint just wouldnt get a good fit, so I got it welded up also.
