Are you supposed to buy new head bolts when you take your heads off?

Are you supposed to buy new head bolts when you take your heads off?

Mine have never been off, 100k miles. Thanks for the input.

I believe you are suppose to because the stock ones are "Strech to Torque" and I believe the likelyhood of failure on old ones is high (overstrech)if you try to reuse them.

for like 50 bucks you can get a set of arp head bolts.. that falls under the category of "cheap insurance" better than thinking what if?

I got my new set through GM for 20 bucks. Jason Cromer is the man! They came with Locktite on them already and worked great....can only use them once though.
