you guys pick! 224/230 or nx wet kit?? 125 shot

Hey guys i ran into some pretty good money here latley and was wondering what u would do if u were in my shoes. 224/230 or n20?? The car is a 95 firebird formula and has the following mods. Moroso intake, hooker shortys, borla, cutout, 3.5 inch driveshaft, 12 bolt-moser, 3.73's w/eaton, tb bypass, dropped on 17x9 1/2 inch tt2's, 2800 stall converter and shiftkit. The best tet ive had is a 13.4@103

Thanks,
Heath

That totally depends on you and your addition to horsepower. You'll get more power with n2o. The big difference is the cam is 100% all the time. The n2o is only when you hit the gas. You'll get tired of filling that bottle. I feel the cam every time I drive with no extra bottle to fill. If I had n2o, I would buy a gas company and make myself rich! If you just want to go fast when your racing someone, then go n2o. JMO

With gas prices skyrocketing and no end in sight, I'd buy a juice kit over the cam.

I would have to say the cam, but that's me. I daily drive my car and want the power all the time if needed. If your car is going to be a weekend warrior, then nitrous may be a good way to go.

Either way, a better valvetrain might be nice to handle that extra power.

man yall are makin it hard on me. i like both and they both have there upsides and downfalls as you've stated, im leanin more toward the cam but nitrous is sooo wicked and people wouldnt know what the hell hit them. Oh welli remain undecided.

Thanks,
Heath

I like the cam. The one you have selected is a mild cam and should be very streetable, plus have some additional power at the track. You could then have some headwork done and really see the gain. I see too many people enjoy the Nitrous for a short while and then end up doing a rebuild. Some ET Streets may also be in your future. You probably also should invest in a good tranny cooler if you don't already have one. Heat kills transmissions.
