Re: yet ANOTHER header question

your in canada and i'm not sure the details of your smog laws but here in california mac's, longtubes and anything without a carb number and no smog tube hookup will not pass a visual. I have slp shorties, maybe you can do a 93 slp style shortie, i dunoo..maybe some guys in here can suggest some ideas but i'm smog legal as well..it sucks. With emisison laws, your limited to a shortie header with smog hookeups unless you live in a town out in the middle of nowhere. I think Kook headers have long tubes with smog hookups, pretty cool.
Smog laws or not..im still doing my 305 cam since I heard theres awesome tuners out there to make it pass the sniffer, visual is just a bummer tho..lol

Re: yet ANOTHER header question

I love my Mac mid's. They came w/ the AIR and EGR connections and the y-pipe goes right to the stock location of the cat. Not only do they look good (jet-hot coated), they were cheap ($420) and picked me up .4 and 3mph in the quarter. I believe I have pics of them in the link in my sig. Also, now it only takes about 20minutes to change plugs and I never have to worry about a burnt plug wire w/ OTV wires.

Re: yet ANOTHER header question

Also, the install is almost TOO easy for headers on my Macs. I installed mine by myself. The driver's side literally fell in from the top. Just had to take the steering column off. The passenger side went in easily as well from the bottom. Just had to take out the start and alternator.

I still don't know what all the fuss is about LT's on a bolt-on car. Gains are minimal over mid's or even shorties for that matter, and the install is SOOO much easier (I know this cause I just put Jet hot LT's on my friend's car and Pacesetter's on another friend's w/ in the last week. My hands looks like ground beef now )
