Yet another Accel opti hater
Yet another Accel opti hater

Yep, just to give a final update, my strange ingnition miss was solved by replacing the Accel opti (less than 500 miles on it, BTW). Post mortem on the opti showed NO Locktite on the rotor screws, and the rotor screws had backed out. 1 completely fell out and was rattling around down in the cap, while the other had backed out enough for the sensor wheel underneath to clock 90* off from where it was supposed to be. Amazingly, the rotor stayed on and continued to function distibuting the now off-time spark.
Lesson learned here: Always check your new opti, regardless of manufacturer to insure the rotor screws are Loctited
I locktite the screws on all optis.
When I had the Accel opti, not only was the 360 segment pulse wheel windows irregularly shaped and rubbing the optical sensor. There were sparks jumping out of the traces in the cap and into the water pump.
Accel opti is $hit.

I bought mine from them 3-4 weeks ago. I had to email them through ebay since they didn't have any optis listed. There're "no ship" complaints on them now?
