Y-Pipe question

Is there a Y-pipe that can fit up to the stock manifolds on a 97 dual cat Z28? What I'm after is a Y-pipe merging into one pipe, going into one catalytic converter, then out to a catback.

I would really like to start figuring things out tomorrow (Tuesday). Quick replies are very appreciated :)

I made a thread down in the exhaust section, but it doesn't seem that users frequent that section much. https://www.camaroz28.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=549298

Maybe I had too many beers, but the 97 came with the bigger Y-pipe,and a single cat.Did you buy the car used?Maybe the previous owner dueled the exhaust or something. If my memory serves me right, only the 95's had the dual setup.Hope this helps.(California).With a Catco cat,and an intermediate pipe, might pick up 7 ponies.(But this advice comes from a guy who took his remote car door opener controller apart to clean the terminals, and busted it,and had to get a new one from Dal.)(Dealer$140.)Dal,$50.00)Hope this helps.

96+ had dual cats

if you really wanna go to the single cat setup, and a 93-95 y pipe wont fit, just cut out the cats and weld in straight pipe where they are, then put in a cat back after the y

1st cat by the drivers side manifold 2nd cat before the 2 into 1 collector of the ypipe

If you don't mind me asking, why would you want to go from dual cats to a single cat? By doing this, you will loose a little exhaust flow and you have to mess with your post cat O2 sensors. You currently have 4 O2 sensors, one before each cat one after each cat. So if you were to goto a single cat, you have to either get O2 simulators for the post cat O2's or get them programmed out. It is nice of you to care about the environment, but I would either replace both cats or delete them. If you really are set on this, a stock 1994-1995 (single converter) y-pipe should work for you.
