Need some suggestions

So I have a SLP LM1 sitting in my garage just begging to be used again. I had this on my 94 but was able to talk the guy into giving me back the exhaust when he swapped it out.

Now, I really don't want to put the LM1 on the Z. I'm thinkin about getting the LM2 muffler to replace the resonator, but I would like to know if anyone has any other suggestions. I would like to keep the pipes and just replace that ****ty resonator. I am also on a tight budget, so that is another reason why I don't want to purchase another full CB.

Also, I need to replace the cats. As I said I'm on a tight budget at the moment so I am not looking into replacing the headers (but god do I wanna). I'm not to sure on the whole system, but if I get aftermarket cats, do I have to get a y-pipe also? I've been trying to search for diagrams of my exhaust system but have come up empty handed.

Too long didnt read version: I'm searching for replacements cats for my 97 Z28 that will fit up to an SLP LM. Also looking for suggestions to replace the SLP resonator with.

Ty ahead of time

summit or jegs sells a 24" bullet muffler....will make the LM sound good. next step up would be the borla XR1...but that's almost $100 i think.

you should be able to have aftermarket cats welded into the stock locations. just confirm the correct pipe diameter...2.5" i think.

I did a little bit more research. Is there a y-pipe that can bolt up to the stock headers that will open up to where the rear cat would be? That way I could get a universal cat right after the Y and then custom bend a pipe to get to the I-pipe cat back.
