Y pipe for LT1
Hello again. Does a upgrade to a aftermarket Y-pipe make a difference in power/sound? { Borla cat -back, only mod} Or is it hindered by stock LT1 manifolds on one side and OEM cat on the other?
I belive the early LT1 Firehawks got this upgrade as did 96 F-bodies for the dual cat setup. Thanks, Cameron

It may make a difference in sound and may create a very small power upgrade, but it is not a cost effective mod to do by itself. An aftermarket y-pipe really shines when it is paired up with headers.
