xe 224/230 is in

over the past couple of weeks car underwent some work that included a new opti-spark, water pump, new plugs (tr55's), new wires (taylor 8mm), new head gaskets, and..........1.6roller rockers, comp cam xe 224/230 112 lsa. car is running awesome and it pulls very hard to redline. really nice lope w/ cutout open, no tuning yet but it idles fine, very little cam surge. overall i'm really happy and can't wait to take it to Carlsbad to get some times. hoping for very low 13's, high 12's with good driving. once i can get heads (around tax time) i want to be in the mid to low twelves on some good tires.

Good job. Think you can pass emissions or do you have a way around it.

Emissions should be very hard to pass on the 112LSA, or so says the general concensus.

I'd think with bad driving you should be in the 12's easy with that cam.

Another true believer

I love this cam. It's awesome with a 6 speed... torquey all over the place, and REALLY hauls once you break 3500 rpm.

Right on man, I just ordered the following since I blew my headgaskets.

Fel Pro Gaskets
Comp XE 224/230 on 112
Comp Pro Magnum 1.6 Rocker Arms
CSI Water Pump
Timing Chain/Fel Pro Gaskets
MSD/NGK
Morgan's Machine & Marine is doing a bit of cleanup on the heads
FLP Long Tubes and a custom Y pipe... can't wait to have it ready at the end of the month! Give's me 9 months to figure out how to smog it.
