X Pipe ??? Is it reall necassary or not??

I was contemplating that when the time comes For Headers and exhaust that Instead of running True duals I was thinking about getting A pair of Purple Hornie header mufflers instead. By doing this there is no X pipe and they are very free flowing. SOme say that running open headers will lose torque but How much since you pick a crap load more up with the LTs anyway. It would still sound damn good and be as loud as SIN but For a budget exhaust with some benefits its a good Idea I think.

Any opinions on this,
-JOHn

an xpipe gains power because it causes scavenging effects between the two sides.

the gains are usually more pronounced throughout the curve, not at the peak, hence why alot of strip-only drag cars dont bother, because they spend all their time at peak power, and dont need xtra weight.
