It depends on the specific truck you have. Dually or SRW? Do you have a goose neck/fifth wheel hitch? Year truck? Auto or Manual?

Most of the trucks are rated at like 23k CGVW. Which means about a 16k lb trailer (would have to be a 5th for max). Stock bumper pull hitch is rated at 10k lbs. Most dual car trailers are around 4-5k lbs.

If you got a 2 car open tag hauler you could probably do 2 fbodies and be heavy on the hitch. You would want a good leveling/dist. hitch. If you did a 5th wheel style you could do a 2 car and have plenty of room for people and stuff in the cab.

I think a 3 car 5th style hauler on a dually would be pushing it with 3 fbodies, but you could probably do it. The 3 car haulers weigh a good bit more. You would be over weight but you could pull it. Just make sure to take braking into account.

Trust me, this will be a fun event.

If we all stay at the same hotel it will make it even more fun.

I'm not worried about anything other than the legal aspects of hauling this stuff. The Cummin's wont sweat it. Although here are the specs. 1997 12 valve 2500, Ext Cab Long Bed, 4WD, Auto, 3.54. It has a little engine work done and should have a Suncoast Level 5 Trans this winter.

I wouldnt use anything less than a gooseneck and airbags to haul more than 1 car. I might contact some car transport companies I do business with to see if they would be willing to rent or lease me one or know where I could get one. But I have all winter to figure this stuff out, just started considering it the day I read this thread. Although I appriciate the info, perhaps 3 would put me over weight...I'll get working on the figures soon.

Yes it would look very badass for a Cummins bellowing smoke down the highway pulling 3 sexy F-body's on a gooseneck. It might cost a bit, but I'd like to make it happen.

Good to see a fellow 12v. I have a 96 2500 Ext Cab/Long Bed, 5spd 3.54. With your truck the biggest limiting factor will probably be the srw. Even with E rated tires you are limited to ~7k pounds on that axle. A 3 car hauler can put some weight on the hitch with 3 heavy f bodies.

Good luck, hope you can get it sorted out. I've thought of trying to make it, but it will depend on funds. 1600 miles one way and 24hrs of driving. It would make for some fun stories though.

Yeah but it wouldn't look too bad with a Duramax pulling it either.

Had a Duramax, LB7 actually. I liked alot of things, but hated a few so much I sold it for the Cummins.
