Wow!!!!

just wondering........when you guys really get on your cars (people with stock ones......or the people that remember how their car performed stock)..........did the tires break loose at 80 mph???.........my did 3 times in a row.......(i checked 3 times because i thought maybe it was a fluke).....anyways.......just wondering if my car was abnormal or if all z's do that........thanks

Mine doesn't/didn't do that. I'd say either it was wet out or your tires are bald as hell. Go to the track and see how fast your Z runs, its the only real way to compare it with other Z28s.

Then you can come back and tell us you have a stock LT1 that will beat Z06s.

my tires are brand new....(only 2k miles on them- all 4.......they are firestone firehawk tires).........and it hasnt rained here in 4 days........and i live in MS......its hot down here.

I wonder what it will do with the cut-out open

Hmmm at 80mph and you punch it, the lowest gear the car will go is to third and your car is breaking loose at those speeds?!. I think Id be a little scared or really excited, Maybee you have a beast?...take it to the track bro and tell us about it. Just make sure it doesnt rain!

its not that i was going 80 then punched it..........i was at a dead stand still.(practicing launching).........and i hit it....(since i was practicing launching i only spun a little off the line)........then the 1- 2 shift comes (40mph..........tires break loose).........then comes the 2-3 shift (around 80mph......(somewhere between 75 and 80)..... it breaks again and i didnt take it any further.......i quit at 90)......................whats up with that.......it did it all 3 times...........................but i can be riding at about 40 -50mph. (just cruising along)....and when i hit it they spin.....hmmmmmmmm

ive chirped 2nd a couple times in my car(a4) when going full throttle. Never went faster at full throttle to see if it happens on the 2-3 shift

Oh you mean chirping tires into 3rd gear. Yea thats not very unheard of.

I thought you ment break the tires loose and go sideways, like it was wet out at 30mph.

Yea then you would have a BEAST on your hands.

I've got 400+ hp in my A4 right now and it doesn't do that. Either my car is setup good and yours is setup like crap (because you shouldn't be spinning at 80mph) or your 4L60E is slipping

What are you using to determine the tires are breaking loose? Rise in RPM? Chirp of tires? Car going sideways??? If I were a betting guy (and I am. LOL!) I'd say your tranny is slipping.
