A Y-pipe by itself (with manifolds) will just about nothing.

Save your money and get headers WITH a Y-pipe.

Agree completely. I second that.

Worth some performance improvement? Yes a little.

Worth spending half what you could get a used set of MAC headers for? No

Worth the hassle? No

Dude if you are that set on wasting $125 on it then go for it. OR you could save up more and get some used headers from the board and put 15-30 to the wheels. Its your decision. MACs sell on here for $250 frequently.

Dude just save the $ You'll be happy you did. Install probably isnt that hard but I am telling you, just save the cash. If you want shorties get the BBK's from the 95 guy or something in the forsale section. He might give them away for $150 or something.

a y pipe is not very hard to install. 3 bolts from each manifold, and then a few bolts unbolt it from the I pipe. 30 minute job at max. If your planning on getting it anyways, and 125 shipped is a good deal. ( i have no clue what its worth ) then i would go for it. its certainly not going to hurt anything. I just wouldnt expect much of a gain from it.

I looked for used headers and y pipe and cannot get them for less than 275 in good shape. I thought this would be a good start.
