I dont think it has to do with the G's the car is pulling, it seems different.

It will go from 70+psi to 35-45 psi then back up and down under hard acceleration.

Anyone know if a aftermarket pan/pump would solve this, or does it sound like the pickup is too close to the bottom of the pan?

Sounds like either the pick up is too close or you've spun a bearing.

The stock pan has poor baffling & will uncover the pickup under acceleration.
The faster the car, the worse the problem is.

High volume pumps suck more oil from the pan & amplify the problem.

so an aftermarket pan would solve the problem?

It might in some situations, but there are plenty of people out there with stock pans with no problems.

Motor is brand new. The car always has great oil pressure, lowest I have ever seen is 20+ psi and thats after 40 miles at around 3krpms. There isnt a way to push the pickup up through the drain hole is there?

So you still think it is the bearing? When I have spun bearings on other motors the oil pres. sucks.

Is there anyway to test to see if the pickup is to low, like running a 1/2 quart low or something?

My cam only car would do that VERY badly. 50ish until 4k and then it would start sucking backwards.

The new motor got a miloden 7qt pan with baffles and a 1qt filter and it holds pressure all the way through the rpms

My new motor never gets above 45-50 at WOT. Melling Pump (not high volume), stock pan, etc.
