I cannot remove the tube from the passenger side header. It is in there for good, I can't break it loose!

Would it be ok to get some caps to block off those 2 places as seen in the picture?

I already made two plates for the manifold itself.

What size bolt is needed to block the air tube in the header? I got the drivers side one out

Why are you taking it off just to block it, you do realize there are no gains to be had by doing this right? Most people only do this because they install longtubes that don't have the emissions fittings. Anyhooo, try soaking it down with some WD-40.

I'm removing EGR and AIR now, because I have everything off for my cam install. Down the road I'll be doing Longtubes anyway, and this way I wont have to replace an EGR valve if it goes bad.

wow yours looks diff. then mine. I have a (95 ta) and it has the flexable tube. Same as above though wouldn't bother unless you get headers w/ out emissions.

This is what I don't understand. You can't even see the EGR stuff, so where is the clutter? The EGR system can prevent excessive combustion temps that lead to detonation. Detonation causes the pcm to pick up knock. Knock leads to reduced spark advance. Reduced advance reduces performance. So, where are the benefits of removing it? (If you have headers with no EGR provisions, I can understand)

My 93's dont have egr...

But it does remove clutter ya dont need...

All around, I am happier with all that crap gone... also its less stuff that has a chance to break...

I know it has its purpose but oh well...

The air pump removel is what cleans up the bay....

I was just thinking of doing it now so I don't have to remove it later on when I get headers without emissions provisions. But maybe I'll keep them on?
