Would this cause SES light?

well im just trying to diagnose this myself

would a bad opti cause a SES light?

what about EGR valve?

I dunno about opti...but yes, a bad EGR can. In fact, mine is right now. I have a P0400 code, which is EGR recirulation flow malfunction. Looks like I gotta get it replaced.

so if i dont get a light i dont have an egr problem?

I wouldn't think so. I'm pretty sure if the EGR was messed up, it would let you know. Might want to make some searches and see if anyone else has done simliar posts.
