would 396 fail emissions...?

would 396 fail emissions...? since it would bring the mpg down to like 13 wouldnt that make you fail in the emissions?

no fuel economy doesn't effect emissions.... Mainly it's the camshaft that makes you pass or fail.

it works the same in all states? even MA? so theres no way to pass some sneaky way with an le2 cam? and would i fail with a turbo or an sts turbo?

.... the higher the cubic inches with the stock heads, the lower the emmissions. It will draw more air in and allow it to burn much cleaner. It also won't decrease your mpg to 13mpg. A turbo setup would be much easier to pass than a heads/cam setup. Turbos won't spew out large ammounts of emmissions unless under boost, and even then they do no use as large of cams. The only sneaky way to pass is to pay someone...

so what would the mpg be around with a 396?
