Is it worth putting an different intake on a 97 WS6?
Is it worth putting an different intake on a 97 WS6?
I have heard that the ram air intake system that is on the 93-97 WS6 is somtimes better at low rpm then if i were to put an aftermarket intake on. So it worth to change that intake system out.
thanks dave,

The WS6 intake system is pretty much the best u can get for the F-bodies. I wouldn't swap it out at all. You can't beat something that short or straight, plain and simple.
I would look into some of the free/cheap mods maybe though; such as the Fernco smooth coupler for inbetween the TB and MAF, as well as modifying the hood baffles to allow a more direct airflow path (Depending on how much rain driving you do).
I've got mine fully de-baffled, Fernco'd, and slats removed from the airbox, and with my airfilter out and my hood closed, I can look through my hood and see my TB blades
; you can't get a better intake than that. I wouldn't recommend going that extreme if you drive in the rain more than once in a great while; I rarely drive in the rain.
