worth the money?

I went to look at a 94 camaro with my friend today. very clean body and int. here is a list of the mods. 70,000 miles on car, rebuilt motor with 600 miles, vortech supercharged 12 psi, 40lb injectors, new fuel pump, edelbrock shorty headers, flow master exhaust, rebuilt 4l60e with yank 3k stall and trans go shift kit, computer is tuned, 3.73 gears, new batt. The guy is asking $7000, but yes there is a catch, the owner said under wot there is a misfire. the cause is unknown and has not tried to be fixed. Is it worth the money to fix?
thanks,
matt

Re: worth the money?

sounds like someone else's headache to me. id say ask him to take it to a professional that could pinpoint the problem/s.

Re: worth the money?

Run a leak down test and if it has good compresion and the leak down test is fine then it sounds like a fair deal. A misfire at WOT is probably tuning although it could be spark related. Either way the vortec alone is 3K.

If the car's in good condition, I'd go for it. At worst, you could part it out and get our money back.
