96 firebird formula here. waterpump just died. opti took a coolant bath. replaced WP and tried to start the car and it made this terrible machine-gun-like noise and wouldn't start.
what do you think? replace opti?

 

Yep replace the opti. Most of the time once they are wet they are done.
