Won't idle after cam install....

Rockers are fine, It is throwing a MAP code, i am thinking my vacuum is too low due to the big cam?

It is a 245/254 on a 112.

Check the green plug on top of the intake manifold, just behind the throttle body on the passenger side. Mine came out just enough to throw that code. I pulled it out, cleaned it and plugged it back in. All was fine after.

Dude,
not much info here. UM 245/254. That's a fairly large cam. Do you have a tune for that cam. It's not likely to idle very happily under 950-1000.

Yes it is tuned for the cam, I tried setting the idle all the way up to 1200. Sometimes it will stay there. Most of the time it drops to 500 or so and then dies .

I hooked up a vacuum gauge and it is pulling no more than 10. I could not find any leaks.

Thank god. The first thing I thought of when I opened this was "My car sputters and won't idle smooth after cam install!"

Look up the Drill mod to the T/B

That will help, good luck.
