Wiring for manual converter lock up switch?

I have seen this mentioned, but didn't se a "how to" when doing a search. I am new to this board and even newer to these cars (don't even have it home yet!) and am looking for ideas. Thanks!

That's my guide, but for some reason, it doesn't want to work on my car. The solenoid is based on a ground circuit, so grounding the tan/black wire engages the solenoid and the lock-up. This has been proven on several cars, but not my own. I did just have a rebuild with the transmission and a TCC lockup problem, but now, it doesn't make sense....

I'm going to dissect it a little more thorough, and hopefully I can figure it out. Once again, that guide has been proven on a few cars, but I can't guarantee it will work. It's relatively simple to install, so....

It's also a little quirky on OBDII cars for some odd reason, but that's the absolute easiest way to wire it.
