I have used the DEI heat boots. They worked great. I had MSD 8.5 with Edelbrock shorties and I never had a burnt wire and I didn't have to zip tie anything.

Red face

I ran msd's in the stock location when I installed my pacesetter mid length headers and everthing worked out fine so far.
I used the bracket that held the stock wires and had plenty of room.

Hard to say exactly what you'll have to ziptie, just look over all your plug wires really well and also wiring harnesses as well and make sure nothing is coming in contact or too close to the header primaries. If something is,then zip tie away from the primary as best you can.

Do you suggest using heat wrap on some harness wires for longtubes? I was reading some writeups and some people seems to put heat wrap on just about every wire near the primarys.

My long tubes offer better clearance to plugs than the shorties did. I now use nothing, but I have Taylor wires with over the valve cover wire kit. It works great.

Over the valve cover wires are the best. Looks better and makes sure they're safe.
