i think if you replace the entire head then you will experience the problems you are now. if you just replace the rubber blades then they shouldnt miss any spots...mine dont anyway. 2 guys i know who replaced the entire thing have what you are discribing.

yup, I replaced mine with some Rally blades from Strauss. When its off, the tip of the blade on the passenger side, about 1/2inch worth doesnt completely sit flat against the windshield, but other than that, does not seem to be missing any spots

Amazingly, I bought Bosch blades, and they SUCKED They missed over half the d!amn windshield! Anyway, I went to KMart (yes KMart) and bought some 24" blades that were 2.99 a piece-for the entire blade, not the refill, and they work better than any blades that I have used. And, the blade is all metal, none of the plastic/metal stuff out there

If you have the OEM blades still just bite the bullet and go to the dealer and pay $19 for the refills. They work GREAT... clean perfectly.

the part # of our wipers with inserts is 22121694, the retail list is 46.72 at the dealers, I went in yesterday and talked with the guy with a bit, he decided to offer he would sell me the wipers at the "body shops's" cost of 28.50, well I guess that isnt bad compared to the 36.50 the other dealer wanted. nice guy, shop around your dealerships, some of them arnt so bad!

Hey guys, there are blades at autozone that say on the box for firebird and camaro. I cant remember what kind they are. It is in the yellow box I thinK??? My dad is a manager at autozone and told me about them and they worked fine. I had bought some other 24" of the same brand the week before and they didnt work. But these did. So make sure you look on the box for them to say "For firebird and camaro"

PepBoys has the exact replacements....look for the 24N ones for narrow refills. Metal supported just like OEM.

Bought some new blades the other day at Advance Auto. They were in like a dark red box and said OEM on them. The other day my friend bought some blade that were missing abuot 2ins on each end also. The part number at Advance is 24-9R. Not sure of the brand though. They were like $13 each. I was gonna just get some new inserts but my stock blades were so faded and old looking so I just bought those. Looks way better now and work perfect.
