this winters project...gm847

i have decided i dont want to spend the money for a dyno tune on a "little" xe224/230, this winters project will be swapping in the GM847 cam, comp R lifters,#30 svo, 58mm TB, walbro 255, and of course a DYNO tune and ET streets.
oh yeah and a 12 bolt goes on the list

i would love to see 400rwhp, but that may be impossible with my A4......

has anyone ever hit 400rwhp with an A4 and Lloyds stock Lt1 ported heads???

That and why is his MPH so slow for his mods jk man.

I certainly haven't seen any LE headed A4s in that range. Maybe you can be the first. It's gonna take a lot of RPMs.

Did you ever check your FP at WOT?

i know that grease made 412rwhp with phils econo heads and this cam, check his webpage for details on his flow numbers, flow peaked at 255 i believe, but he is an M6.

yeah its kinda funny i dynoed 364 SAE rwhp and only trap 104 to 106 in a 3400lb car.

and yes i plan to spin the stock bottomend to 6700 or so.
hell i shift at 6500 now with the xe224/230......

I think someone just made 400/A4/LE heads with a 230/236. The post should be several pages back by now.

We are up to 6 or 7 people now with this cam, yet to have one person not like it or not make some very nice power with it

who else does custom cams besides combo?
my heads flow pretty good, 274/191 at .6 with good mid #....

i have the # at home with a graph, what else is involved with a custom cam besides looking at lift numbers and how the heads flow????

thanks for the input...

just about any shop can get a custom grind for about the same price as an off the shelf cam.

i was gonna go with a sweet custom cam from Brett at Bauer, but the supporting components for it (rev kit, special sprins, etc) is just out of my budget for now.
