Winter Project

Ok so i have $2000 to spend on building up my lt1 what i planned on doing was cam, rockers, lifters, torque converter, shift kit, rear end, and a tune. Can i get more power if i go a different route with the build and what if i save money by buying used rockers and other parts?

Thats a tight budget! I'm setting aside around $3,000 just for an engine build this winter, not involving any drivetrain.

You will probably get the best performance out of the cam (along with the proper valve train components) and some headers and a tune.

If you can get a little work on your valve pockets that should also help quite a bit.

You might find some good parts, new or barely used for less---however beware from whom you get the parts. Probably relatively safe to buy from someone on this site who has the parts sitting idle in their garage. JMHO

I'd opt for a baby cam like the Crane 210/224.
