Winshied Fluid Nozzle/Window Motor Problems
Winshied Fluid Nozzle/Window Motor Problems
2 problems..
My drivers side fluid nozzle has stopped working. When I try to spray my winshied, it barely shoots fluid at all. The passengers side works great though.
I looked at the nozzle and it looks as if you can pop it out with a small screw driver or something. Is that how it works, or do I haev to remove the whole plastic piece from around the base of the winshield? I'm hoping I can just pop it out, go down to my local chevy dealer and purchase a new one. Any ideas on this?
Also, my passenger side window motor is on its way out. Ive read this is a common problem. Is my best bet to go down to the dealer adn get a stock replacement, or try to head to my local pep boys/advance auto etc. and try to find a replacement there.
Thanks

On the issue if the nozzle, disconnect the line right at the washer pump in the fluid bottle.
Your lines are probably plugged with some sort of "crap". Take the end of an air hose with the trigger type blower and put it on the end of the hose you just removed. DO NOT use full force (you can blow a line off somewhere), just enough to hear and see the crap spray all over your windshield. Plug the line back in and you should be good to go, if not, use a little more pressure and do it again.
Both nozzles should spray about the same once they have been cleared and you will be amazed at the crap that comes out. Easy and free fix!

I had the same problem with the passenger side nozzle. All I did was take a straight pin and stick it in the hole and wiggled it a little and pulled out a little trash. Voila, the nozzle works again. I would try this before shooting air through the lines.

Earlier today, I went to go spray air through the lines and couldnt figure out how to get that pump out of the resivoir. I thought I could just squeeze my fingers down there and pull it out but no such luck. I guess you have to unbolt all that metal above it?
Thats a pain in the butt for just trying to get to a little winshield sprayer pump. What were the engineers thinking?!
