I get emails all the time from people that did it in a couple hours, that had never seen inside a door panel. You should be able to do it, no sweat, and spend your $100 on something else.

$50 bucks at Autozone and you have a good motor. Make sure you use lithium grease all over it. My window goes up so fast that I actually chuckle everytime I put it up now. My passenger side is slowly going now. I guess they'll be more chucklin after that ones done.

Don't be an idiot and drill out the track rivets like I did. I though my car being different year then Shoeboxes had the rivets exposed. Look over the whole thing real well before you start. Yeah shoebox, I know I'm an idiot sometimes. Man I thought I was so smart at the time...

Do it yourself.

I just finished doing mine tonight and it didn't take long. I took my dear sweet time and had it done in around 1 to 1.5 hours. I bet I could change it in about 30 minutes now, if I hurried.

Mine was $50 at Autozone too. They also have a lifetime warranty. I am almost tempted to do the passanger side now before it dies. Well, I better wait.

Good luck with the install.

Shoebox, you rock

You let me know what size battery bolt I needed last week. Now, with the help of your site, I just changed my window motor very easily. My knuckles aren't busted, my door doesn't have a million holes drilled in it, and I didn't stress about anything during the job.

Thanks again.

I did it the Shoebox way and it amazed me how easy it was.
I did not even have to support the window for some reason but I don,t suggest you do that. Support the glass just in case.
