http://gallery8926.fotopic.net/photo.php?o=1&id=736756 I've got a spec stage 2 clutch, bearing went bad and I got a new GM one (part no. 10085246). It looks diff. than the one that came with my clutch. The only place it looks diff. is where the fork attaches to it. The old one has more "right angles" the new one has only one tapered section, not sure if u can tell by the pics or not. Also, what about the colored dot, does it go in a certain spot or what? thanks, Chris......

It will work fine...I've successfully installed and used both styles on LT1 T56's. I was confused by the differences when I first saw them too...but a mechanic told me it was no big deal...and I've used both throwout bearings (in the same pressure plate) behind an LT1 with a T56 with no issues.
