Specfically, will stock shocks/struts and springs from a 98 and up LS1 Camaro/TransAM fit a 96 LT1 Camaro SS? A buddy of mine replaced all suspension parts on his 2002 SS with aftermarket parts and wants to sell me his stock shocks and springs. Will they fit on my car (96 LT1 Camaro)?

Those items you mention specifically, will (though there are no struts on the 4th gens). Make sure you get them for a good price since you can get a whole set of shocks and springs that have only a few miles on them from SLP for $100.

The springs have different rates I believe between the LT1 & LS1--The LS1 engine is much lighter. Everything else should be the same.

Find out what brand of shocks they are. If they are Decarbon's (orange)--don't waste your money.
