Can I use the stock springs. If I change out my stock rockers for 1.6 roller rockers with a stock cam?

Probably but why not change your stockers while your in there? I think it would be added insurance if you were running a 125 shot.

Stock springs don't even follow the stock cam effectively past 5500 or so depending upon mileage. After 90k on mine, the stock springs started to float at 5200.

pretty sure stock springs don't have enough lift capability for the higher ratio.

not to mention...as stated...they suck anyway.

why do the work twice. pick up some inexpensive LT4 springs

Considering you can get a set of LT4 springs for around 30 bucks, I would go with those and not chance it.

The stock springs may result in coil bind with 1.6 RRs. Many people do it but I don't think it's worth the risk. My friend broke 2 pushrods running on stock springs and 1.6 RR's after 10K miles. Never did find one of the broken pieces in his engine

There's a good idea for ya if you are just going to use the stock cam. You can change the springs on the car.
